Yes we did! A friend’s wedding and a day at Disneyland, a lot of great food and quality time.

Being together was definitely the best part of the entire weekend, and we made some great memories. I was surprised by how cold it became when the sun went down, I had to purchase a light sweatshirt at Disneyland to enjoy the evening!

Stand outs for us at Disneyland were: Lunch in New Orleans Square, which is that crazy looking sandwich up there with a side of grapes; Indiana Jones and Hyperspace Mountain – J loved Star Tours and the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters; the Paint the Night parade, I was jamming and dancing and loved it – J is a fireworks guy. Also, random and hilarious, I won a special 60th anniversary pin because I knew that Dumbo was Disney’s only animated movie where the lead character doesn’t speak. Ha!

Our friend’s wedding was beautiful. Right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, live band, delicious food, great company and celebration.

This trip was technically to celebrate our friends getting married, but also our 2 year wedding anniversary, and it was full and great! I’m thankful for a husband who loves to adventure and play.
